so before some one says have i searched yes i have :finger: ..... so just got back from a top weekend and 5th gear has gone, 01 st patrol ute. read the other older threads on this did nissan do a recall? on the box to fix it or am i on my own, and if so im assuming new main shaft and fith gear plus bearings?. Plus anyone know of best place to get the newer better built gear and shaft? ;)

Your local nissan dealer. And if you tell them that you always get it seviced here etc, etc, they will give it to you for trade which was $379.00 for me. I didn't replace bearings, but it's better if you do especially if you have clocked up lots of kays.
