Hi was wondering if anyone has had any increased sensitivity in thier ABS after lifting a 100 series Landcruiser?
I have just lifted ours 50mm and now the ABS is SUPER sensitive. Wet or dry on the road. Off road in mud it is out of control and frightning. We are carrying a fair bit of weight and it does seem to transfer the weight what feels like in an arch over the roof from back to front, other than disconnecting the ABS is there any way of fixing my problem????

When the lift kit was fitted was the load sensing valve on the rear diff adjusted to suit the lift?

Other problem's maybe that with the extended travel of the shockers it has pulled one of the wheel speed sensor wires out and is causing a faulse reading. This will normally bring the ABS light on

The ABS system on the 100 is incorperated in the master cylinder and should only be serviced by someone that has a scan tool and the knowlage to use it, a new master sould you stuff it up is worth thousands

Perhaps the increased COG and stiffer rebound shocks are keeping the wheels from good contact with the ground?

Agreed, my brother IL just bought a hungee with 5 inch coil lift, 35's, winch bar full length rack etc etc etc. That was the first thing I said to him, we climbed underneath to see there isn't one. The ABS works fine on in his and I wouldn't think that COG or shock stiffness would cause these symptoms. I would suggest a sensor plug or even a sensor playing up. I believe the sensors are incorporated in the CV (like the 80's?) so they are well protected from external damage. Pull the fuse if it is that bad until you can get a pro to look at it.
Don't take life too seriously...it isn't permanent.
