Went to menai today...

Post by Dave Fogwill »

Hey guys/gals,

I went down to Menai today to do some wheelin'. I had a good day. I didn't get many photos though, sorry...

Not sure if you guys are familiar with the tracks at Menai, but I went down th emain track to 80 series roll over hill and went up the right hand side there and then back along the 80 series bi-pass track. We went up a few tracks along the way.

Some parts are really hard and take lots of right foot! I think it would be really good to get a few trucks down there.

Ferog,

You would be happy if for once we had a trip closer to your way. Did you go past 80 series rollover? down the hill to the creek?

Yeah down onto the sand, It was a night trip I went on.. see that second pic the rocks you are coming down, i got stuck near the rut next to the tree and nearly wiped my side out..hehe...but It made it up after a good bounce. Did you go alone...it's pretty rough in some spots and some mean puddles, seen a hilux that went through what he thought was a small mud hole.. got stuck... All good fun though.

Yet to go there... apparently you have to be a member of a club and be involved in the clean ups to actually be allowed to go?????

Anyway, would love to give it a go next month maybe... nice and close to home
Cheers

I love that photo Dan and if I had a spare 15k, I wouldn't mind the shorty40!

I also noticed that you were a member of the planb club, with the chaos and 4wd monthly guys. Do you go on many trips with them?

I stopped just after 80 series and headed home because I ran out of time... Does it get much harder after that? (except for prado hill of course)
