Tailshaft lenghts

Wanted to know what lenght the standard rear shafts are? as i'm looking at replacing mine and hoping there is something the same lenght.
From '84 models to '96.
Also do 60 series tailshafts fit hilux flange pattern or are they bigger?

The intermediate rear tail shaft (centre bearing one) from an LN107 with a chain driven transfer case is 635mm according to my tape measure. I should have an LN106 gear driven t/case shaft to measure soon, and can measure the rear half over the weekend (luxy isn't here at the moment).

Apart from length, overall or indiviually, the mounting for the centre bearing may not align. I don't know for sure, but just throwing it out there.

Thanks for the measurement.Has to be a one piece shaft thou, so no centre bearing.
Measured a 4runner gen1 today it was 1150mm, mine needs to be 1195mm.
Close but no cigar.
Would anyone know if later model uni joints are better than early lux ones for having more angle?
The early ones look a lot tighter and therefor may have less angulation ( If that's the right word)

Might sound stupid, but do spacer blocks exist? Is there any reason you could get a machine shop to make up a 45mm spacer and just buy some longer bolts? I imagine it would be a lot cheaper then a custom made shaft. Just a suggestion.

Looking at the operating angles of the uni joints at the moment.
If they are too steep i will have to go to a double cardan shaft set up.
I think if i had to buy a spacer etc, the cost to have my shaft modified would be about the same.

You want later model uni's and solid axle double cardan's.

What's your pinion angle like? If it's pointing at the output, then run a double cardan. If it's flat, run uni's.

I'm running a custom length one piece with a double cardan.

The diff pinion was rotated to match the transfer output at 5 degrees.
I think the tail shaft angle is too steep for the uni's to operate correctly, will know when i check some angles and do some calculations.
The very rear uni is a smaller uni from an early hilux. I don't think it can handle the steeper angle.

Thanks, checking all the angles to see what set up i need.
Would have gone with the double cardan a few years ago when i first got the rear shaft made, if i had of read the bellavista build up then.
The tailshaft guy said single joints would be fine?
And still says a double cardan wouldn't fix the problem. He might change his mind if he saw the set up thou.
