35 inch tyers fit on 200 series?

Has anyone fitted or( know if you can) fit 35 inch tyers on a 200 series?

Yer have had one at work looked tuff but don't no what lift he had sorry but can be done

anything is possible...they have heaps of room once you trim some of the pastic at the rear of the front guards.....

dont reccomend going to wide a tyre thou.....

people need to relyse that lift does not fit tyres

extending the bump stops will and body lift will but suspension lift does not make tyres fit because as soon as you flex it up your back on the bump stop just like the stock suspension, and in actual fact due to the lift the other wheel is being forced down more resulting in more tilt being on the tyres bringing the top of your tyre in to the wheel arch more than stock suspension would which is a problem in some cases.

i am soo sick of the magazines flexing up cars then showing a pic saying '2 inch lift clears 33's easily' when the wheel is right up in the guards as it would be with stock suspension.

so moral of the story is, if the tyre doesnt fit with no lift dont put suspension lift in because its not fixing your problem.

Depends on the suspension setup. A firm lifted spring won't compress as much as a standard spring, and there is also the matter of the lifted coil having more steel. So if you compressed a lifted and a stock coil until the winds were touching the lifted coil would be longer.

Most rubbing on 4wds will occur on road during cornering from the massive body roll we get. Add 2 inches of lift and thats 2 inches more body roll you can have before the tyres rub.

wtf my 80 runs 35s with a 2inch susp and a 2inch b/lift setup
so what ur saying zuri is if i take out the body lift and put in a 4 inch than my tires wont fit!!!!

Ok great. What brand of tyer are you running?

Does your 200 have KDSS? Mine does and thats what looks like what it may hit on the Pass side on full lock.

200 series has IFS up front....stuffing one wheel inside the guard isnt going to force the opposing wheel any lower......

trimming inner guards with a mild lift is the best way around it....IMO

ok, firstly, you say that the most rubbing comes from on-road, all that tells me is that you dont drive anything worth while offroad, secondly, i am talking about springs that are soft enough to increase wheel travel, i cant see the sense in getting springs that are soo stiff that they dont compress onto the bump stops.

so i surpose i should rephrase, if you have a suspension setup thats any good for flex then you will not benifit fom suspension lift because it is all the same when flexed up.

next the comment about taking body lift out and putting in 4 inch springs, yeah gives you the same height but as said if the springs are flexy at all and are capable of compressing under flex untill the bump stop contacts the diff then you are now presented with clearance no better than standard would deliver.

i will agree that firm springs that do not compress all the way will allow more clearance for tyres, but springs that are soft will not once you test the limits of your flex

still cant get over the fact that the hardest you push your springs is when on road, gosh buy a falcon man
