G'Day all.

My god what an awesome weekend! It was so very cool to drive through the gorge and hear the crowd going nut’s.

Thanks to Matt Glen and everyone else who put in all the work to bring this to Townsville. Thanks to all the teams that came up from Brisbane and a big thanks to Steele my navi for all the running and pointing.

To the commentator its “TAGATI” said “Ta-gar-tee” and it’s an African mischievous demon not an African dog  oh well maybe you will get it next time. :D

I can only hope that the spectators had half as good a time as I did because that mean’s that they will be back in June, as will team TAGATI.

we had a pretty mad crowd happening .. saturday track 1 was chockers ...
then to the rally cross .. every one was havin a ball playin cat and mouse ...
then after dinner off to the gorge ...both sides of the track were 2-3 people deep the whole length of the track ... thats a ShortyIQ lot of people!
i didn't get to run saturday night :( was so hyped up for it too
i can't remember the placings ... mitzi and les draw'd on the vertical assult ...

out of the tsv crew ...
1st me + chris
2nd team budet
2nd matt + cammy
3rd team budget

awesome drive to matt and cam tho .... never driven the thing before ...
tyres were let down but being brand new they wouldn't bag or flex around the rocks
the suspension was brand spankers and was stiff as but worked awesome

dunno how i arsed getting 1st out of us .... but my MTR's looked like they worked better then the simex's and the swampers ... well i will give them a big wrap anyhow ... as i didn't have beadlox i was still running 13psi
and only popped a bead cause i was playing throttle happy on the gorge
felt i could have crawlled it

anyhow ... i have no pics ... jakes old man got lots of pics ...
some dood is sending me video clips of my run on track one
ummm chris has some pics that we have to scan .. pics of people zonked out sunday morning hahahahahahahahaha
area54 has bucket loads of footage .. can't wait for the video!!!!!

I would just like to say a BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE TOWNSVILLE GUYS who have given Glen a hand during the week he was there to help him set things up and a special big THANK YOU TO JAKE who helped us ferry everyone from the Airport and get the extra accomodation for all the Brissy people that we weren't expecting. We couldn't have done it without you thanks Guys.

AWESOME !!!
we had a huge crowd on saturday for track 1 and they stayed around for the rally cross and i'm sure there was even more on saturday night for the gorge run.
sunday there was about 6 or 7 to do the gorge run as we didn't get time to do it on saturday night.
mitsi and les tied for first place on the vertical assault.
MR sheetmetal took out the brissy guys overall i think.
staib racing took out the gorge run i think.
track 1 was won by mr sheetmetal i think.
[dont hold me to that]
The townsville guys put in some awesome tracks....heaps of work put into them and they were hard...woohoo. :D
We didn't do real good but had one of the funniest weekend in years .
They even called security at the airport to keep a close eye on us :D
he he, should a seen the look on the girls from some surf life saving club...one bird held up something and declared they were the returning champions so naturally the guys did an awesome arms up huge cheer that nearly bought the airport down
Then some other team walked off the plane and they copped a huge cheer as well...he he he ...they were dumbstruck
My cheeks are still killing me from laughing so much
Thanks to glen , the townsville officials and the townsville competitors who made us all feel so welcome :D
We had separate awards for the towney and brissy guys but im sure their points were right up there near the top...well done guys

Yeah, we ruled it out fri night but heard the Mulgrave river was open at 11am sat morning so we jumped in the cruiser & took off before it blocked off the hyway again.
Luckly we were the last to cross the river at Tully as the SES blocked it off after us on the way down.

We left that quick we forgot the esky, food, camping gear etc. :bad-words:

Did you know the cops can fine you $1,200 for driving through a road closure.

Defenatly worth the trip. :P :P :P (& $250 speeding fine :bad-words: )
