does anyone have any idea how much i should be paying someone to put a exedy safari tuff or sports tuff clutch in my ute,
it is running at 15 psi and close to full fuel, with standard turbo and pump and a set of 35's.
which clutch would be more suitable safari or sports tuff?

Re: Gu 4.2 clutch
i have the exceddy/safari tuff clutch in my td4.2 turbo gq (with 15psi and bigger pump). it works a treat and doesn show any signs of slipping and i dont treat it very kind either.
price to install? well it would vary i recon, it is a big job ad the gearbox is heavy as fark and u have to rotate it to get it out. also factor in $50+ for the flywheel machining. i would think anything under $500 is reasonable.

Re: Gu 4.2 clutch
alright no worries, thanks for the info mate. so u wouldnt bother just doin a heavy duty one? just straight to the safari, i just thought that comp trucks are runnin safari clutches with like 25psi and 37's so maybe i didnt have to go that extreme as i use it for a daily driver and just muckin around on w/e's

Re: Gu 4.2 clutch
My setup is much the same as yours and I have the safari tuff (got it from XTREME MMM on here) and its a daily driver.
My Mrs doesnt have any troubles and its no heavier than the std one to use.
Doesnt slip and is smooth.
I fitted mine myself, so I dont know what it would cost to fit one, sorry.
