Anyone using Superior race components adjustable shocks yet?

Post by Jimbo »

Just wondering if anyone here is using Superior engineering's latest adjustable shocks?

http://www.superiorengineering.com.au/p ... ts_id=7643

I was looking at running some fox shocks in the front of the GQ but these are also an option and are externally adjustable. A bit steep in price but if they are good i will give them a go.

Thanks in advance.

I'd go the Fox, there is yet to be an Externally adjustable shock that works AND lasts yet.

I remember when the Boss shocks came out and they where ment to be the duck's gut's, but after a little bit of service life they had troubles as well ;) .

These might be the best thing that's come out in Shocks but a $440 each, i would'nt want to be the Gunnie pig

I was hoping someone would have tried both :)

What goes wrong with externally adjustable?

Had a mate with Tough Dog adjustables and he snapped a couple adjuster knobs off from sticks flicking up and now they are set at 3 permanantly.

Those SRC ones look ok but, as the valves are up out of the way.

Im in the middle of sorting out shocks for mine, im a bit undecided myself.

I haven't snapped any adjusters off my Tough Dogs....... You should turn them towards the chassis, or away from harm where possible.

By the way, adjusters are $22ea to replace. Not that much, should you snap one. Keep a spare in the truck and you're sweet.

I'm quite happy with mine, but I'm sure there are better shocks out there.....

if you get your fox shox from the states youll get them for 500 a pair. might not be external adjustable but you know they are good quality and a proven shock...

let someone with plenty of money test them and say yay or nay then make you decision on them. someone not related to superior (no offence intended)
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

I'm shaw superior would help you out if they failed ,they stand by all thier products.
Why not give them a call and ask some questions,as these are very new so they might take it as feed back.

I'm not worried about them failing. I just want to know how they compare to a similar priced shock

So has anyone been running these yet, interested to know about these as I'm looking for a set of front shocks for mine, or can anyone tell me where to find fox shocks for a similar price.

Fitted them along with a 4" lift to a GU today. Drove for about 150km on road with them and was very impressed. Will be driving them offroad early next week and am looking forward to seeing how they go. Personally i think they'll be pretty awesome.
