rip Nottie. Only met him a few times through Grimace but seem'd like a great bloke.

As others have said... things are never bad enough for this sort of action. Talk to someone whether you think you need to or not.

Condolences to all those who know him and affected by this.

To the man with the bluest eyes in town
It will be so hard not to have you around
We are all so devastated you lost your way
The void you leave is bigger than words can say
Rest in peace Nottie, up in the sky
But it is so hard to say goodbye...

It is with the deepest sadness that I write this. My good mate and dear friend, Nottie(Jamie Hughes) has passed away over the weekend. He had been in a long standing battle with depression and bi-polar, and at the weekend his battle ended. I will always remember him as a true friend, and a real mate. He is survived by 3 children.

I will post up the funeral details when they become available.

R.I.P. old mate. I'll miss you.
OMFG! That is terrible news. RIP Nottie. He was a great bloke and will be missed.

On a happier note, and back to the build, I picked up the first of my twin Detroit 40 spline lockers today from the Man amongst men, Keith Kreutzer from RoverTracks. This baby is super sexy and fawkin HUGE.

Can't wait to get these in place and order my 40 spline custom MogSal inner axles from RoverTracks.

Keith is seriously the BEST guy to deal with in the 4WD world.

Can you believe that I have only just got internet on at home?

All this time without redtube has really taken its toll...

I'm back into building Bob in a week's time. The first bit to finish will be the beadlocks and getting the rims off to the powder-coaters. I was going to chrome plate them, old school style, but not one business would guarantee the finish  so coating it is. Then next in line is buying a bender. That's the part that I'm up to in terms of the frame.

Pics when I get a chance...which could be a while.

i would still get them chrome plated. you don't need the finish guaranteed!!! it's going to get powned the first time you drive it.
seriously though, Evan Staniland's ones were chromed and IMHO still look really good 3 years and numerous comps down the track.
