GU Ute Question?

Does anyone know if 2000 model GU coil cab utes were released with no airbgs?
Were steering wheel airbags an option in 2000 model utes?

I had a 2001 model dx coilcab ute and it didn't have an airbag , had a factory nissan steering wheel .

Hi mate,

The GU utes started to come out with airbags in 2006. I have an '05 ute for that reason. Hope this helps.

I've put a ute Cab on my rolled 4.2td wagon chasis.
I used the wiring looms from the wagon with ABS and dual airbags.

As of yesterday I have a 2000 GU TD42 with ABS and drivers airbag and I now have to get it engineered.


Next question.

Were ABS brakes an options on 2000 model utes?

nope.

Found from carsales research:
NO airbags in pre 2006 utes and they never had ABS in utes.
If anyone knows different, let me know.

ST Utes had airbags before '06, A workmate has an '04 with dual bags.
I dont know from whic date though sorry.

but with steering wheels, wats the go with aftermarket wheels, for example a saas racing wheel, wat are the rules and regs, anyone?
