Driveshaft repairers

Post by nayto »

Just after advice on who to see around Newcastle area (im from singleton but i dont know of anyone here) to build me a new driveshaft, as i just made the standard one into a banana today. This is on a 110 Defender, tomorrow ill make some calls to see what a genuine one is worth, and compare to a built HD one.
Thanks nayto.

Google gave me this...
Gibson Driveshaft Services
1 Aluminium Close
Edgeworth NSW 2285
(02) 4958 3059

Good luck with it.

I can only recommend 2 places Ive had work done, 1 is Craft Diffs in Merrylands, and the other is Central Coast Gearbox and Diff at Tumbi Umbi.
Otherwise, Newcastle Gearbox and Diff at Lambton have a good rep.
Good luck mate.

Well i went to Hardie Spicer at Beresfield today on my way to see Gibsons, and they laughed at me 1st because of how bent is was.....then quoted me $260 to rebuild it with some HD tubing and new unis, the slip joint was still in good nick. So i left it with them. Be ready by friday apparently.
