draglink for fj40 steering conversion

Post by pcman »

ok im a bit stuck having never dealt with a sprung over 40

its been sprung over on drum brakes and runs a double arm its being converted to 60 series power steer

however the standard 75 series draglink wont fit the double arm as its the smaller 40 series i did consider a new steering arm but being drum brake they wont fit as its smaller pattern

the opwner doesnt want to go disk brakes at the moment so im stuck with what ive got

so really i need a tie rod to fit the 75 series draglink but that will fit the smaller 40 series steering arm

make sense ?? cause i hardly understand it

You need a proper tapered drillbit and drill the arm out.

Has to be spot on.

Or convert to discs.

Or cut the end off a 75 series arm and weld that chit on there!
hands and mums dont count!!!
