started to remove my winch tonight but only got as far as disconecting the leads, removing bash plate and 2 of the lower large mounting bolts, problem is there are 2 bolts where the fairlead is but not accsessable by a socket or spanner. Help would be realy appreciated thanks

On some bars/winches you have to remove the vertical rollers to get to the bolts. Usually there is a circlip on the pin that holds the roller in place.
Remove that and then slide the pin out and remove the roller.
Mine was similar but I was able to get a spanner in regardless.
You might just need a slim spanner and put it on the bold slightly on an angle if you get my drift.
Post up a pics of your fairlead if this doesn't work mate.

hey mate thanks for the help, i picked up myself a smaller spanner and was able to wedge it in between and loose the bolts.
