Like any 4wd event,we left TJM well after the organised time,getting to the highway was a mission in itself as there was a added left turn on map that wasn't existant,nothing funnier than c-ing 40-50 4wd's idle on footpaths,not knowing where to go.

Easy tracks,bit of mud,few hills & rocky slopes.

No major carnage except for the quadwheeler that hit the side of our car,someones tow hook come off hitting a car,& a blue mq shortie lost a back window then had to change their jocks after hanging their car sideways over a near vertical track after losing it through the mud.
A zook tried to do a stall/start but had a flat battery which held up the track. :oops:

(no it wasn't me)

All in all it was a great night,we finished around 1am & there was still cars out there,well done to the organisers and thanks to
Queensland 4x4 club for keeping the night entertaining.

Yeah like he said only the one bog hole that stopped the progress of quite a few vehicles. The usual wait at check points etc etc

It was our pleasure doing it for all, although we were pretty stuffed after getting home at 3am. Still a bit weary. Everyone who came thru our checkpoint had a great time and were just happy to be out havin fun and thats what is is all about, even if I did a few pirouettes in the mud landing unspectacularly on my arse :oops:

Thanks to everyone that help make it fun. Even if our checkpoint now knows how to speak fluent frog.. hey Rainbow Warrior!!!!

we had a good time the only thing annoying was the waiting at the checkpoints but overall was a great night

Does anyone know when they are having another one? It sounds like the tracks were fairly easy and a novice like me could have a go....would like to try the next one.

don't know. Haven't got any real plans as such on a date, but if we do we'll post it i would say. I'll bring it up at the committe meeting. It was designed easy to med, mainly easy so the average Joe (sorry Malena) can enter & have a night out. There r hard ones out there if thats what people want but with 90 entries it was popular & fun.
