Motorway Mongrels - Road Noise ?

Post by Draven »

Hey All, well next week ive got a 3" lift going into the Mav.

Ive also been offered a pretty good price for a package, including 33" Motorway Mongrels, now money is a little short so these tyres are sounding good. I do have my old set of 31"s that I will use for DD duties, but was wondering what the Mongrels are like on road ?...mainly road noise. Is it still ok to drive 2 - 3 hrs @ 110Km/h without getting a headache ?

Unfortunately you will need advice from someone with a similar weight vehicle .. becuase when I was running Bfg MT's and then 33swampers .. the swampers made about the same amount of noise as the BF's
The Zuk simply was not heavy enough to make em "noisy"
I have heard the same rubber on other vehicles and it was like an aircraft landing (33 swampers on a troopie vs 33 MT's)
