40 series ute conversion

Post by '75fj40 »

Can anyone out there tell me how easy it is to convert my 1975 fj40 hardtop into a tray back?

thought about getting the roof off a 45 and mounting that for lengths then custom fabricating a tray. any ideas?

thanks.

You can put a 45 cab on and shift the rear axle back or put a 45 roof on the 40 tub..

best bet is to put a ute cab on your chassis, then flip your rear springs around to gain some wheel base. It also moves your rear wheels away from the cab.
What is your hard top like?
If you r interested in selling it let me know.

Cheers
