Hey all have been installing my alarm slowly and have hit a dead end. I need to find out the best location and the wire color to splice into for the following:-
1. Turn signal (left and right). There are two wires on alarm for this one left and one right.
2. Fuel pump cut
3. Door trigger. This one has a picture of a single door trigger but alarm only has one wire. Its only to stop the alarm auto-rearming itself, so maybe interior light?
4. Trunk switch. Im guessing this is the same as door trigger.
I've got the haynes manual and it has all the wiring diagrams but doesn't tell me where wires are located and what color they are. At least im confused (not that hard to do).
Any and all help appreciated, the more info the better the previous owner has done some electrical work it seems and wires are all over the place

Re: 80 series alarm install
Hi Howsie it's been awhile since I've fitted an alarm to an 80 but here goes:
1. Turn signal is in the loom that goes to the steering column Green with yellow trace and Green with black trace (thin wires usually with silver spots)
2. Not sure but simplest way is to go to the fuel pump relay which will be in one of 3 places (underbonnet, under drivers kick trim or under passengers kick trim..or possibly behind glove box) once you find the relay identify the power feed to the coil +12v when ignition is switched on and that would be the wire to interrupt
3. This one can be a little tricky as it is different depending on the year model of your 80, early models it is in the drivers kick red with a green trace and red with a blue trace found at the wiring loom that has 2 connectors in it forward of the relay panel.....these 2 wires do all 5 doors. If it is a later model then its a bit harder.....there are 2 diodes taped to the loom that comes in from the engine bay accessible by looking up with your head by the accelerator pedal and you need the red with black trace from one of them and the red with blue trace from the other (It also may be the red with green trace but you will have to try it and see sorry its been a few years) to connect to twin wires with a single door trigger you need to get 2 IN4004 diodes from Jaycar or similar and connect them to the door input of your alarm twisted together and branching out seperately with the white bands facing the vehicle wiring to stop backfeeding and keep your interior lights seperate.
Hope this helps you out mate..
