refitting 1hz sump???

refitting 1hz sump???
took the sump off put in fitting for oil return now how do you get the blasted thing back on doesnt want to line up with back studs im confused help needed please!!!

line it up with the studs then give it a real good whack. i had the same drama's with myne. the sandwich plate holds it out. let the front of the sump sit down should help also. if that doesnt work get a fbh

a fbh could be the answer and nearly was ,but something less violent could be suggested what about if i move the studs to the side instead of the back maybe????

I had the same prob with mine too, you dont have to move lugs its more of a perfect square fit and it dosnt helf with gasket goo everywhere... Goodluck!!

moved the sandwich plate back with big screwdriver/hammer combination. about a mil and it fits ok
