Bigger Sub tank

Post by crankycruiser »

Im after a bigger sub tank for my 80, but the ones i have found are 175lt, and thats a bit of overkill! i dont want a tank quite that big as they hang down a fair way in the arse, is there any other smaller options out there? something around 100lt would be heaps!

I''l be makin one for myself in the future around about that size out of ally n make a good bash plate. I repaired a 175l one for a mate and bloody heavy arse things they are, thats why i'm lookin at the ally option. Any one got reasons why i shouldn't go ally and it'd have to be passed by an engineer right?

look for a late model Prado sub-tank (rear tank) they are similar dimensions to the 80s but deeper, hold around 90litres. You woould need to put the spare on the back.
I have seen them sell on ebay for $5

How about a 60 series tank 90l and you get to keep your spare under the back.
I put one under my 75 and with the cut down 80 it should be a piece of cake.

Cheers
