LSD into GQ Front

Don't jump all over me fellas, ive tried the search and no luck. I saw a post about this but it was in an unrelated thread.

It was something about using a pathfinder or navara rear LSD in the front of a GQ.

Sorry if its a re hash, but there are a lot of those vehicles over here so thought it might be worth doing

You will need the LSD pack from a D22 V6 or QD32 or R50 Pathfinder.

what about an auto locka??? wouldn't that be better off road? I think there about 450 from 4wd systems? i think that is the company anyway. good warranty too from memory?

I don't play in the bug muddy like you blokes, just wanted to make the fishing/hunting truck a bit more versatile. Will look at both options

LSD centre out of a h233B rear navara is the same spline count as patrol front. Took a bit of mucking around to find what models it was in pretty sure I ended up finding single cab d22 ran that diff. I bolted the centre into a GU after removing a spacer block from the middle where the axles come together - you may not need to remove that for a GQ - not sure. Made a difference to driving, certainly better off road. Pain in the butt if you have autolocking hub as thay do not disengage easily, I changed to manual hubs

Can you tell me what years are involved and any way of identifing the diff/model etc any better. Not real switched on with this stuff, as I said just trying to make the old girl a bit more versitile

some of these models all use the 33 spline axle, correct me if I'm wrong .
I have R50 4.6 rear diff's here h233b and there all 33 spline

I thought you needed the earlyer model ones to get the 31 spline axles.
like wd21, or d21 with the v6.

Nissan Terrano II also has the H233b LSD.
ARB airlocker catalogue is good reference for diffs and splne counts etc.

There are a couple of good threads about this already, not that long ago. Try search under H233b?
