panhard rod on leaf sprung sierra ?

panhard rod on leaf sprung sierra ? has anyone looked into this thinking of giving it a go ? i have 2 inch longer shackles and 3 inch reset springs ruf just want to pull it all together tighter more.

I guess you could do it. What type of handling characteristics are coming about from your setup which makes you think a panhard would help?

I'd be trying to build the mounts to get the panhard as level as possible at ride height. A lot of lateral pressure will be taken up by the leaves anyway so it wouldn't have to be a massive unit.

That doesn't make sense, especially if you are chasing articulation as the geometry will conflict.

thats what i am wondering trail tough do a kit in the states and i have looked at some links to them being used in the states to have good report but i am wondering at what expence ?

i have realy good articulation so as it would have to work in with that, i just want to make it not so loose through the steering.

I think just a well thought out anti wrap bar is more then enough for a sierra.
On mine I have been thinking about making a backwards a frame going back the the rear spring hanger on each side almost like a 3 link coil set up to stop the diff killing my springs. I will try to make a basic picture on paint ot show you what I mean.

I can picture what your trying to say and i have thought similar, the issue i see is the work to make it clear the sump, that a panard rod would be far easier.
Does any body have a pic of a panard set up on a coily sierra, virturly the same diff and chassis rail only the drag link runs behind the housing rather than in front so clearance isnt as much an issue.

i did a search on mud pigs rig but couldnt find his car, but there was a pic of his panard in the link you gave except his is spoa.

i think power steer and droped pitman arm, maybe a better investment before panard rod just trying to keep it cheap lol ,i have plenty of scrap steel to fab from to make panard, i dont however have a P/S set up !! so requires money and you know how we love spending money on our suzuki's lol

i just brought crome moly cvs / axles and a pair of sparton lockers and 6.5 gears to go in it and its surpose to be my cheap run around while i build my gu patrol for towing my comp built sierra that is stupidly big and powerful allready !! i will never learn will i !! ??!!
