my power steering pump on my 2.8 hilux is starting to leak i have heard some things about getting your pump hiflow will this have any benifit with no hydro assist. also does anyone no if fitting a pump off a larger car eg a patrol or 80 series would have any benifit?

One of the fittings may have come loose?
If not its a very simple pump to overhaul if it does come down to it.
A bigger power steering pump would not do much as you still have the same power steering box.
Changing the pulley on the pump however would be cheaper and have the same benefit if your trying to achieve more displacement.
I would be upgrading the power steering box, my mate has a GU patrol power steering box and can turn 35 MTZs on the spot with a finger on the steering wheel.

i washed it down and checked it its just leaking from the seal behind the pully. im about to do a hi steer conversion with a ifs box should i ditch the ifs box and go with a patrol or 80 series box??
