40 series - P/S upgrade - parts needed

Post by Miloscousin »

Ladies and Gents,

I have been following the advice from the site regarding a 60s power steer upgrade on my little old 40.

I am chasing a few parts that I can't find in Darwin and am hoping someone here could help a brother out.

I need a uni joint for a 70s intermeditate steering shaft. (The top end that connects it to the steer column)

I got my hands on a 55 column but it didn't have the uni joint on. I'm not looking for a hand out, I am more than willing to pay, I just need a hand finding one and thouht I would try here before I started ringing inter-state wreckers.

There isn't much left to do and this is annoying me a lot....like really lots...

I haven't sorted my steering arms yet, but whatever, thats the next herdle. I just want this connected so I can get some panels back on.

Any help would be appreciated lads.......

Cheers

You can use one from an 80 series, just inside the firewall. Should be plenty of them in Darwin.
