Do you want a camera or a mount?
If it is a mount you require, Manfrotto make a universal camera mount and a thing called a magic arm, they are pricey but if you use it a lot I guess it is no big deal, but if you only want to use it once you can borrow one of mine if you want.

Macca177 wrote:would velcro strips work...just on the bottom of camera and then sum on the dash ?
i know supercheap has sum velcro...duno if its strong enough!
No, to unstable, driving down the freeway @ 75 Ks would look like comming down the steps at Tollangi @ 100 Ks.
If you have a standard tripod, set that up and lash it to the jesus bar good and solid then see if you are happy with the stability of the image.
Is this for looking out the windscreen on 4x4 trips or looking in at the drive in

Peter.
Have a look in LandRover Owners magazine they usually carry ads by an english company that make them. they attach to the windscreen with a suction cup and a bracket to the dash board. they use them for a lot of the events there. A pretty good price too. Sorry can't remember the name tho
Ransom note = demand + collage

goto Jaycar, and buy a small camera that plugs into vid camera.. You sit vid camera on floor in car, then no damage.
the other camera u can mount ANYWHERE. on rearview mirror, or bullbar
they have heaps of different sizes. You can even get infrared for night runs!!!
Shit photo, but this is the size of it $240 for color, shit loads less for B&W

these are good, have used one of these (not jaycar, but same principle) for helmet cam on trail runs on motorbikes. good quality pic and the camera can be located somewhere safe. will be a lot easier to attach to dash/pillar and also more versatile than a dash mount.
