Re: steering damper question please help!
If you have an oxy heat it up and smack them out.
other wise you'll have to go out and buy a puller, or a fork type tie rod popper. The later is a little more robust.

Do what was posted above, or if you have new nuts with the new damper, put the old nuts on the old bolt until the top of the thread is covered, then belt repeatedly with a BFH, it worked for me.

get yourself one of these or similar from repco, supercrap auto or a tool supplier
worth their weight in gold, and far more effective than the old fork! No heat required either.
Just loosen the nuts and screw it most of the way off (leave the nut on a few turns), clamp on the separator and tighten it up, if it doesnt pop out easy, tap the side of the bracket with a hammer to jolt it loose.

SCA pullers are extremely weak and shite.
I know of 3 people that have bought them and all 3 have broken.
Dont waste your money buying from there.

Re: steering damper question please help!
that picture is of a pitman arm puller and wont sit properly on tie rods. Make sure you get a proper tie rod puller. Also the trick with the cheap ones is to tighten it up then whack it with a hammer, rather them tightening it till it pops.
