The RUF could be achieved with the use of a slightly longer than stock shackle and by re-drilling the chassis/spring mount holes a little futher back on the existing bracket. I have seen this done and will allow for the travel of the RUF setup (depending on spring rate and shocks of course) but will not provide the extra wheelbase benifit, or firewall clearance that the RUF with chassis extension provides.

Still a good mod though - and still worth doing i think... easy to build upon with the same parts that you will already have should you choose to do so.

On gregs old setup with the ARB bar it was quite difficult to notice the extension work.

Cool that makes sense I suppose I will be happy with anything better then I have now anyway. I'll make some 2" extended shakles up and hopefully they will be long enough. As for the fire wall clearance it shouldn't be a prob with the smaller tires anyway.

Now I just gotta get a contact in ARB so they don't try to rape me!

Yeah it wouldn't be noticable with the bar I got now but I will be going to a lighter bar like overkills one.

Make your own shackles after you put the springs in... they will show you how long your shakles need to be

I wouldn't want to make the shakles any longer then 2" over standard.
