Re: 15x10 rims
to stop a 37 inch tyre rolling off the rim, most manufacturers recommend at least a 10 inch rim.
any ideas beside beadlocks

Re: 15x10 rims
IMHO if they are rolling off 8" or 9" rims without beadlocks, they will roll off 10" rims without beadlocks more often.
A substitute for beadlocks is screws - search pirate for the thread on this from inchworm (also look for inchworm in the vendors page on pirate).

Re: 15x10 rims
hows that work, the wider rim should make them seat better at low pressures......shouldnt theyBush65 wrote:IMHO if they are rolling off 8" or 9" rims without beadlocks, they will roll off 10" rims without beadlocks more often.
why would the tyre manufacturer advise to use a 10 inch rim for a 37 when a 35 can be run on a narrower rim??? sorry, dont understand

Re: 15x10 rims
To remove a tyre from a rim you have to push the tyre sidewall in towards the centre.
To mount a tyre to a rim the tyre sidewalls have to push out to create a seal.
The wider the rim the further out the tyre sidewalls are pushed before they make contact with the rim and create a seal. Conversly the narrower the rim the closer the tyre will be to making contact with the bead without any pressure (air).
If your rim is too wide then when you deflate your tyres for bush work there is no pressure holding the tyre against the rim. The narrower the rim the less the external pressure needed to keep it in place.
I used to regularily run 10 inch tyres on 7 inch rims at 8 psi without problems. People on 8 ich rims with the same tyre would pop them off.
Hope this is clear

Re: 15x10 rims
as above, and forget about what the manufacturers say, unless the tyre is 14.5" or wider keep to a 8" or 9" - 15 x 8, 16 x 8 or 17 x 9, u only 10's if ure a pootrool. alot easier to get rims this way too.
