You are not the first to think of it, a basic motec or any efi system will work. Its just a matter of putting it all together and putting your money where your mouth is so to speak.

The blue bottle works, they just cost a lot to fill and are not legal on the road. If only we could have a basic unit that had 5 outputs, all user definable, working off revs and boost or tps, that allowed us to plot a 3d graph to control boost, aneroid control, water meth, nos, gas, even have a rev limiter and all egt deratable, now that is something worth organising.

Vnt or vgt could be done by this as well, however it will take alot of proving before I hand over to a single turbo after having compounds on a auto td42. :D
Thanks captain obvious , this is not a pissing competition and its not really
needed to say (putting your money where your mouth is so to speak) im
quite aware of the benefits and that NOS is not street lagal and the costings
to fill as i have ran it in the past on my diesel And i never implied that i was
the first to think of running a Motec / Autronic Ect i was more wanting
constructive ideas like the other boys put forward to this conversation.

Not trying to make it a pissing contest. I think you have taken it out of context, I was speaking my mind in the sense that its something I tave been thinking of and I'm sure many others have for quite a while. Not too many people think outside the box when it comes to diesels. Not too many know about NOS and its legalities. I have never been one to hide things, if 12ht is who I think he is, I was more than happy to give him my time when he showed up at my workshop for a chat.

Just trying to make it open and make people think outside of the narrow minded mindset that too much boost, too much power can't work in diesels.

I think this thread is going off track... It originally asked about nm for a given amount of power. Every else was starting to show what they could do, say, how much, when where etc.

Have you guys seen the US tractor pull? 2000 hp over 80 psi boost with water/meth and NOS. Anything is possible, it won't last but it's cool while it does.
