If you're talking of a blow-through set-up, the TB42 carby would require a box to enclose it within a plenum to work as the secondary throat is vacuum actuated. Not only that I don't know of anyone that's done it successfully. I'm looking at the idea of using the carb/gas setup as a draw through system on mine. Compared to a blow-through/ efi system, this configuration will restrict the performance somewhat because it can't be intercooled and it will induce more lag. However it is in my opinion, the easiest to set up. I think it would safely work to around 4-5 psi but may require jet mods in the carb to work properly. The other idea I've had is to use an EA falcon TBI (throttle body injection) unit, which, with minor mods, will bolt straight on in place of the carby and handle being force fed.

I am also planning turboing my patrol which is carby i am going to use a holley base plate with an 425 impco gas converter as blow through setups are not very fuel economic and are hard to get right but each to there own

i'm running xf throttle body mounted straight to carby manifold on aluminium adaptor plate.

carby would be very hard to seal up properly for boost.

yep i ditched it for gas :P the carby is as leaky as the city link tunnels :P lol

as prev stated, a pressure sealed box, to equalise atmospheric pressure inside and outside the carb will work, you then how ever have to get vac lines in to operate the vaccume secondaries, its a hell of a lot of work for such a pos :P

go to an ea cpi setup, xf injection, or gq injection if you really want petrol, or just run it straight gas. Also the ecu on the std gq is shit, ditch it, fit a wolf 3d unit :D or if u can afford it an autronic unit is heaps better :P
