MK powersteering hoses leaking

Post by Vanne »

Just wondering if it'll be the HP hose or else where more likely?

The HP hose is the one with bolt on ends at each end? the LP hose is the one with the clamp at the top of the resiviour?

cheers

HP hose is the lower one at the pump end - with the nut not the clamp end.

Leaking could be from the hoses but more likely the seals in the pump itself. If the oil gets onto the fan belt you might find yourself breaking fanbelts frequently so it is worth fixing the leak. Nissan sell a seal kit. This might help

$100 for 2nd hand hoses !!!!

Best bet clean it all down ,try it with compressed air
Then look 4 the leak,or the drip
