It's amazing what you can acheive when you breath landrovers and your blood sweat and tears is bamboo!
The strength in both compression and tension of bamboo is phenominal, its resistance to cracking under extreme flex is also second to none.
We have done some natural testing of shock loads exerting maximum flex from bamboo in the past few weeks. We have even left a test bed of two large bamboo shoots that are currently suspending approx 600kgs of tree stump that was initially dropped from over 10meters onto the shoots. It's been over ten days now and I am proud to say that the bamboo while slightly bent, has no cracking or a further bending under this load, hence it has passed the test... SIMPLY AMAZING!
