Hey mate,
In my opinion, the Paj (and as you've probably read and heard) is one of the most underestimated 4wds on the market... I have a 1992 LWD GLS and I have had nothing but pleasant driving from it...
The GLS is usually the pic of the bunch with all the mod cons plus the body styling... But I believe the GLX have most the power options just without the body styling on it... On gas, would be pretty economical too... The biggest thing that has blown me away about mine (and it isn't on gas) was the great fuel economy... Drove it from Brisbane to Yeppoon (near Rockhampton bout 700klms from Brisbane) on one tank of juice...
Easy to drive on the road - great tourers - and with the right mods will go just about everywhere the bigger trucks do, within reason...

Just brought the 99 mdl for 7K took it for a spin but being in broadmeadows couldn't go for a test bash up the bush but tested the low and high in a car park all sounded good no cv noise the guy i got it from says 260 k's tank of gas and about 300 for a tank of petrol seems OK for me as we live up the sticks in warburton (vic) just have to see if i can get some solex locks for it as some 1 has stuffed the passenger side door lock but all good thanks heaps Ev

Just bought a 98 GLS for the wife. A good tip is get it to a suspension shop as you'll find the lower ball joints will be well shot if not changed already, and the rear bump stops almost totally worn away. Drives a lot better when done (less wander).

Cheers sprintman it go'es in for a RWC (Roadworthy) next week but for what i'am allowed to drive it it sounds all good and at the moment she wont even take it up a dirt road she thinks just becouse i own 2 toyota's that they can do all the dirty work (and their manuels so she cant and wont drive a manuel) Cheers Evsprintman wrote:Just bought a 98 GLS for the wife.
