I just had my injector pump reconditioned on my 2.8 hilux.
I re fitted it my self and now the lux is hard to start, and lacks a bit of power. All the timing marks were lined up when I re fitted it.
Could it be a tooth out?
Thanks in advance.

Re: lux problems
The pump needs to be timed using a dial indicator and special tool in the back of the pump.
This can cause problems if its not correct.

Re: lux problems
the injection timing is set by loosening the bolts that attach the pump to the block, and rotating it. There should be match marks on the block and pump to align it. If not it's a dial guage job.
This is different to the timing marks on the face of the block and the gears, that you use to line up the timing belt.
