Whats needed for larger lift?

Whats needed for larger lift?
hey fellas,
I have a LWB 94 pajero. so far has 2inch suspension lift, with the front shock mounts welded higher, and aslo have now about 80mm body lift under it with out getting new brake lines. My question is what is the max you can go up with body lift without extending your brake lines. Also if i go higher what else will need extending??
cheers

Re: Whats needed for larger lift?
re radius the guards (make your wheel wells bigger\cut aways the sheetmetal)
Without significant work with rubber that size the thing will be a pig on and off the road.
80mm body lift .. is getting pretty up there, you may be better off looking at a custom setup running live axles etc to allow you a better choice of lifts and gearing in your diffs.

Re: Whats needed for larger lift?
My Pajero currently has 35" tires. I have tried in with 39" with
no problem, but I did a solid axle swap.

Re: Whats needed for larger lift?
I can't help thinking that if you need tyres bigger than 33" then a Pajero is probably not the right vehicle for you to begin with.
Re: Whats needed for larger lift?
thanks for the replys so far. Well yea i see your point Scott but I love my paj and just the look of the car. Also have some plans for it through out the year: get rid of torsion bar ( do a front coil conversion), wheel spacers and the list goes on and on. But wouldnd consider another 4x4

Personally, I think 34s are about the limit for the Paj IFS. If you want larger than that I believe you should start planning a solid axle conversion.
Re: Whats needed for larger lift?
yea scott 34s are pretty much the bottom line there. But now i have another question. Rang around today and found some pretty good prices for hilux solid axels with the lot. Now I know a fair bit about cars since at uni im all about mechanic stuff and never hesitated to take something apart but can you or someone whos done a solid axel conversion to theri paj tell me how hard is it to do and what needs to be cut, replaced and all the usually stuff. Because what i can imagine infront of me is pulling out the axel from the paj, taking out the T bars and all the other stuff and than putting the new axel under it, than coils etc....? right?
Just want to get some heads up on how difficult it is and how much time it requires.
Cheers for any help in advance
