Make sure your kids are wearing gumboots.
Whenever Willowglen is on it rains alot.
And there is alot of hills.
There are seperate areas for saturdays driving stages and sundays driving stages. All are well signposted and a fairly easy walk from most camping spots.
Theres also day parking for sat, not sure about sun.
But yeaId say the kids should enjoy it, theres no jumping castles or face painting like there is at TTC.

LOL. Not entirely true.

2005 - Perfect weather. A little chilly at night but nothing a fire didn't fix.
2006 - More good weather.
2007 - Windy. So farking windy sausage sandwiches had that little extra crunch in them.
2008 - Poured with Rain
2009 - Poured with even more rain.
2010 - ?

Where will you be this October long weekend MF??
Not at WG, youll be somewhere tropical and a long way north from WG.
Bad form MF :D . Who dares go on a honeymoon when Willowglen is on?? :D
Just kidding Jess, you and Mark have a great time celebrating your marriage, just remember to name your first 5 kids after me :D .

The last 2 years has been very wet. Last year on the Friday night was a corker of a storm, hail and very heavy rain, so I heard.
Just dont put up your tent next to the track on the way to Saturdays stages, like I did 2 years ago. When I woke up on sat morning, I had a river flowing past the front of the tent, and mud was all over the tent.

But dont let that scare you away, theres lots of room to camp, and the driving is always worth it.
Im looking forward to it again.
BRING ON WILLOWGLEN!!
Jess are you going to do the countdown again this year?? How many sleeps is it??

Don't tell me how many sleeps before willowglen as it will just remind me how much i need to do before the event!! 3 cars need to be finished and modify the car trailer!! Need time for a few practice drives all though if it does rain its all luck anyway!!! And a narrow car tends to help! :bad-words:

Guys I'm using Steve's I.D as my pc is up the s....

We have accepted chassis ending at the B pillar in the past so we will again.

We have always asked that teams keep an eye on the queue and move cars up in order. If they have a key it helps us as I have moved dozens over the years. We cannot control those that move forward out of order if we are waiting for a competitor. I know there will always be smart ars... that push in. Take note if you are one of them as we will penalise this year.

If you think the tracks are to tight by some tissues as we are sorting the good drivers from the rest.

Any worries please ring me. All the team managers have my phone no.

Good Luck to all the competitors and teams.

ps There is a night stage friday for one car from each team. points only for the team.

Regards Tony

No tissues required here :finger:

1 or 2 tracks over the last couple of years have been VERY tight in a couple of spots which in a GU with the lovely weather we have had done there doesn't give you ANY room for movement especially on wet logs!!!!!

The rest of the tracks are fine. Its just a p##s off when you get 5 points on 1 track because you car moved a couple of cms on a wet log and a tyre touches a post and your out :bad-words:

Please all going to willowglen this year pray to who ever you want to so we don't get rain :D

So do we need to wire up some rock lights or do you have some daymakers ready for the night stage :D

You will need one vehicle from each team to drive a short difficult night stage under its own lights. NO daymakers. We propose to start about 8.00 pm and be all done by 11.00pm. We will not need info on who is the driver etc; at this stage. Your Team managers will receive all the info in due time. We only plan to stop a vehicle not break a vehicle.
The Stage will be close to the verification area and your selected vehicle, driver and nav will have to have been processed and passed by our verification team. It must be one of the 4 from your team if you did not choose a reserve.
The points are for the team not individual.

I will answer a couple of other issues from earlier in the thread.
We have accepted chassis ending at the B pillar in the past so that will be accepted again.
We put a strait edge vertically up your tyres from the ground and the flare must touch the strait edge. We are not concerned about the looks of you prized possessions. I know they do nothing for the appearance but the rules are the same for all of you.

Our Management Team at Willowglen have changed the prize structure as we now have only the Challenge Class. We now have prizes for the top 4 drivers and the top 4 teams

Good Luck to all of you and your teams..

Tony
