Gday everyone just curious to know wat size turbos people are running on their TD42s and roughly wat rpm the tacho reads when it starts boosting and when its on full boost. just getting ideas on the turbo lagging differnt turbos have.

T3/T4 hybrid. Sleeve type. Oil and water cooled. set to 10psi boost. 3" dump pipe. Intercooled.

Garrett 2876 Ball Bearing custom 60 ar comp housing. Boosts 0.2 psi at idle and just keeps going hard from there !
05 Patrol GU ST Ute
3" lift, 3" exhaust, custom Garrett BB Turbo and top mount.. and electric mirrors !

$1000 is pretty cheap (turbo and manifold only), although it's not a brand name turbo (not that i have any issues with that anyway). The cast manifold with external wastegate port is also a pretty cool idea too - opens up a whole new range of externally gated turbos to use.

yeah i also was wondering about the turbo not being a big name but after some research i found that DSR turbo is a pretty good quality nz turbo there are quiet a few reviews on them so i thought ide give it a go and its been great... im running the internal gate that comes with the turbo my mate is running the same kit with external both are a good thing.
