hi i am looking at rebuilsing the 60series power steeringpump for my 47series but i have heard that it isn't worth cause the housing may be wornout so i was wondering what you guys think about the GM Saginaw units and if anyone has used these, the yanks seem to use them but i dont no if there is any mounts out there you can buy to fit it to the 47series 2h

Re: GM Saginaw power steering pump for 47
My old 350 chev powered 45 series ran the original chev power steering pump, with the 60 series power steering box setup. Worked fine. Can't comment on the rebuild issue, of do it or don't and i'm not aware of any kits to adapt to a 2h, but shouldn't be too hard to fab up. Maybe you could try a reco c/over unit? should come with warranty and then the wear issues are someone elses problem.
