3l head on a 2l

Post by towmater »

G'day guys,

search aint workin at the moment and i've just spent ages on google but i cant find a definant answer.

i've got a 1985 hilux with the factory 2l. i fitted a secondhand aftermarket turbo kit and all has been sweet (after i bought a new turbo to replace the stuffed one it came with). problem now is she's getting pretty smokey, especially changing gears and de-celerating, which makes me think its the valve stem seals.

i've got a 3l head layin around in the shed, so can anyone tell me what i need to do to put it on.

cheers,

jake

hey mate,
the 3L head wont fit on it!
will only fit on the later 2Ls and 2L-TE motors.
You have the series 1 2L, valve stem seals are $35 brand new.
