Had the heads done up on my nj, due to it using a bit of water and the fact that it has 280k on it, did the timing belt, plugs, leads, rotor button and cap while i was at it, it still has a very distinctive miss and lacks power. Compression averages bout 165psi per pot, havn't had it on the road yet, but it has run for bout half hour in driveway, it has a full service history from new.. If anyone has any ideas of were to start looking for the problem, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Benny

Re: Still got a bad miss????
Silly question, but have you got No 1 lead on No 1 cylinder? The W'shop manuals are sketchy on what is No 1. It is the R side front cylinder.
Also, when I did my Pajero, I stuffed it up badly. Hours spent trying to get it right. Firing order is 1,2,3,4,5 6, but the logic of the layout of the coil packs leaves a bit to be desired. Finally, my Wife said "what about those numbers up there? (numbers stamped on teh inlet manifold). I said "Oh that will be the part number", but as usual, I was wrong and I think it said 251436. Whatever, when I connected the leads in that sequence, it fired up magically and to date hasn't stopped doing so.
