radiator fan options
soo i have a little problem that i need some opinions on.
at the moment my hilux has 3" body lift with rubber blocks and the body is moving backwards and causing the radiator to hit the fan and put a hole in it also breaking the fan.
soo far i have i have re mounted the radiator lower and further from the fan. there is heaps of room between the 2 but the still hit every now and then.
now i have some options that i need your oppinions on all of them will be done by myself soo all i am worried about is the price of parts labour doesnt matter. i would like to keep the costs as low as possible and the easier it is the better.
my options i can think of are:
1) rear mount the radiator with thermos. appears it will take alot of time and money although i have never had a setup this way.
2) remove standard fan and add a thermo instead only problem is i can see it lasting long with mud and all sorts of crap going through it.
3)find a hydrolic powered fan and run the power steering return line through it to power it. im unsure if this will turn it fast enough tho and also the availability of this type of fan in close to the right size.
4)remove rubber blocks and replace with alloy but ive heard the vibrations can cause the body to crack around the mounts.
if anyone has any other ideas or opinions on these ideas that would be great. i cant get the body bolts any tighter could it just be that the blocks are old and have gone soft because i can move the body with a crow bar. seems kinda unusual to me.
any help is much appreciated.

FFS you dont have a problem with your radiator fan Fix the body lift before it all goes to shit.

The original factory fitted body rubbers should be retained with a solid spacer (alloy/steel/poly) providing the body lift.
If you really do have 3" rubber blocks between chassis and body...well that's just scary! In my opinion body lifts over 50mm are dodgy anyway.
Fix the bodylift, drop the radiator to suit and run standard setup with engine driven fan and cowling in place.

I'm not quite sure hat the blocks are made from. It seems to e polyurethane. The problem I have with dripping back to 2" I'll have to cut all my bar work off and re mount it also re mount the radiator seems like a fair bit of hastle seeing as I'm not the best with a mig. Do you guys think it would make a difference if I went to alloy blocks with the same lift?

Piss the rubber body lift blocks off for alloy or hard plastic blocks they are causing the body to flex to much

It may be a lot of work but get rid of the bodylift or use alloy blocks.

I think I'm going to go with the alloy blocks. I need the bodylift to clear the 37's and to give room for the gearbox with low profile crossmember. Not sure why it has 3" tho as the previous owner had it installed and ide have to cut all the bar work and re mount all of that aswel if I was to remove the body lift.

What radius are the current bodylift blocks? Even poly shouldn't allow the body to move like that unless they're the wrong material.
