Anyone know a cheaper way of getting a car alarm other than Jaycar? (cheap doesn't need to mean $hit, I just don't need the frills that come of luxury models)
I'm after a pretty basic unit, no dramas installing and modifying to suit, just after a reasonable price (or cheapest I can find more likely)
Basically I just want thing to go off when the doors are opened, but no motion sensor etc. Very basic, keyless entry compatible (as I don't have a keyless entry currently, but can rig it up) etc etc. No imobiliser as I'll make a kill switch elsewhere.
So, very simple and this is currently top of the pops.
Jaycar $120

Anyone know of cheaper suppliers? Or alternatives?

Re: Cheap car alarm
I second dynamco.
What's the point in a kill switch, a well installed alarm with immobiliser would be better imo ?

Just trying to keep some semblance of control in the bush when things inevtiably go to hell. If I know how the kill switch works, and something goes wrong, I can dismantle it and circumvent it. If its a problem relating to the alarm box, I could be chasing my tail..
