1. Dual batteries is difficult. I don't know of any accessory mob selling a kit for this vehicle.

2. No air box mods are needed to fit the snorkel. Just the panel work and attaching the hoses.

ou must be pulling his p*lonker! Any dual battery kits will do! ARB or any of the others. Alternatively just stick an extra battery in // with your existing.

And where are you going to fit this second battery? There is no room in a hilux engine bay with a 22R. There is no Kit as such to suit a hilux. Yes you could by a duel battery isolator and fit a battery in or under the tray but there is no-one making a "KIT" for this aplication.

Snorkel - just fits up...??? Does it - i'm looking at mine now and unless you mean just plumb straight into the intake and bypass the fliter, but i don't think so.

The box i a massive cylinder and intakes from the front! Pics pls of how it just mates up.....

 What nonsense, of course you can fit a second battery in the engine bay. Place it opposite teh existing and move the pump a little to the right.

you could make a custom tube that could house a filter along the way from the inside of the engine bay to the intake on the engine, thats what i was originaly going to do!!

I just picked up a late 89 4Runner, 22r with duel Batts, the second battery is mounted where the aircleaner goes. One big prob is there is no aircleaner outher than a stupid pod filter
I am going back to the standard aircleaner system and the second batery will be mounted in my camping trailer. :)

i made a custom air box straight from the snorkel to the top of the carbie that freed up a heap of room where the old air box used to be and i made up my own tray and sat a batt in there. worked like a charm. shannon at 4x4 mega store hornsby has double trays for hiluxs

Pirhana does a dual battery tray which is useless & only allows for 2 small batteries.

Mate & I are making one that houses a 760cca Supercharge All Rounder & that battery is currently sitting in the engine bay on a generic tray & fits sweet considering it took all of 2 mins to put it in.

Hi high_lux,
I own a 1990 hilux extra cab SR5 with a 22R engine in it. A few months ago I fitted a snorkel to it . beside the usual hole in the side etc I found I had to modify my air box, because there is was too difficult to attach the pipe from the snorkel otherwise . I bought a spare airbox from the wreckers and fiddled with it and just in case I stuffed it up, I still haad my original.

I have also installed a dual battery. I bought a generic brand and followed all the instructions. I have placed the extra battery in the tray. i will try and post some photos of the engine bay and air box asap and dual battery as well.

when I had my lux there was no mods for the snorkel to fit, just flexable pipe like the pics above.
