long range tank anyone?

I have the OOT - Long Ranger in my Aus Rocky, which I bought for about $600 and installed with the help of Mike H. At 100 litres, it is a geat addition and took about two hours to fit with two people. In my Rocky I get about 700km a tank, highway travelling and I am very happy with the quality and build of the product. There was one trip where I backed over a tree stump in some long grass and had the full weight of the Rocky + gear resting on the tank and all it did was dent slightly. Mike H also found this with his I believe. A long range tank is probably one of the best ivestments you could make here in Australia or if you do allot of long trips.

I also got a long ranger tank im my f75. Great bit of gear, and bloody strong. Have sat the rocky on it a few times with hardly a dent in it. Very easy to install, though i not modified the fule gauge sender, so i dont know how much fuel i got exactly till bout half way through the tank, but once you figure out ya consumption it dont realy matter. If you drive long ditances, its deffinatley woth considering.

Would that happen to be the WARFS trip to Hillend we did in 2001?
And also the river crossing lesson 101 ya demonstrated on that trip mate.

Dont expect mere proof to sway my opinion.
Are we talking where I had to snatch you out or the nice little ding in the sill that I got as a result of showing off? Then again after you rip your first door off it's hinges, it all becomes 'character' after that.
I hung the truckoff that tree stump pretty bad, though the tank took the truck + gear + 110kg of fat bastard driver + fuel and only slightly dented. For me that speaks volumes of the quality of the product.
