i have a 1985 hilux xtracab i have a 2L diesel what diffs do i need cause the ones that are on car are the wrong ones
I have a HiLux and it needs Fixing send me free stuff and i will be your friend but only stuff that works and is useful and is clearly labelled

I think that the diesel Lux has 4.5s standard, and the petrol Lux has 4.3.

2.8 diesel had 4.3's, 3lt I think runs the 4.5's, v6 I pulled out had 4.7's, petrol 4 cyl runs 4.8's, hiace had something like 5.1's, cheers

Going by that you have 4.88's in there and want 4.5's...
You are honestly not going to notice a big difference between the two..
Just better for 4wd'n with 4.8's as you go slower but highway speeds RPM are only slightly higher... at 100km/h only around 5km/h differenceor like 300 rpm

3.0L turbo diesel, 4" lift, bud's front housing, track assasin cv's, air lokker front + Rear, beadlock'd 37 stickies, high steer, 15.5" travel ranchos, high pinion diff and coils on the rear
