got an adaptor from matt mcguinness on this forum.. bolts straight to original manifold. some usage of brain was required to get it hooked up.. I went with the smaller gt2860rs, if u go 2876rs u need to fab a new wastegate bracket or something..

^^ x2, mates rates price on a new genuine CT26 was $2700 when I asked.

It looks the same as other chinese made reproductions, some of the ones listed on ebay have a Chinese based phone number for inquiries.

also, the casting number on the exhaust turbine flange doesnt correspond with a CT26 for a 1HD-T, should be 58020. (74010 corresponds with a 2litre Celica)
the clamp holding the turbine housing to the core is different to genuine ones I have seen (that could have been changed by Toyota??)

You can get the CT26 cheap off the ricers. But yeah, most people are steering clear of the china turbos.

since these cheap chinese copies hit ebay, I haven't been seeing second hand genuine on ebay at all :bad-words:

Hmmm, I noticed there has been a distinct lack of second hand turbos too.

Check around the forums, boost cruising etc.

I got two genuine CT26's that I will be getting rid of soon. One suit rebuild and needs new wheels, the other is in very good working condition.
