Hilux brake fail light

Post by Sam.BMX »

Hi all!

i have a question, when im driving along, my brake fail light comes on, BUT
only a little bit, you can only just see it.

im wondering is this a problem or could it just be the switch needs replacing or something.

the luxxy has quite good brakes aswell, so i am a bit confused about it all

thanks, Sam

Sensor in top of brake master res, it triggers the light when you are low on fluid, and/or a faulty sensor or wiring.

Just as Berad said, low on fluid, top up and should be good.

check that the sensor is jammed.
its common that it gets stuck in the low posistion or there abouts.

I don’t know if it is the same as my 80 but the same light comes on when there is a problem with the vacuum lines, so maybe check your lines and connections, especially at the pump.
