What do you do for a job mate to get all the time off? Do you normally fly economy or business? The novelty would wear off pretty damn quick having to fly economy over there each time.

economy mate. although this time they gave me a free upgrade to premium economy on the way over. I never stop working, so leave is not a strong line in the sand, however my boss today was awesome and said he would help sponsor my race effort with a generous cash injection and an additional 5 days paid annual leave, so I'm cheering a fair bit right now.

I travel a heap for work, and get frequent flyer points on my work amex, so I will get 2 free trips to the US this year.

Awesome vid & well done on the Boss throwing some good vibes your way.
The 2 free trips this year certainly adds up to a nice saving also

Under the vid it says the footage was your 4th practice. Do you have film of you 3rd place run ??

Oh my goodness Ben!

You've cost me a set of wheels with your encouragement, but you know what, it'll be worth it!

See you in Feb then! (if all goes to plan.)

Its great to see someone's living the dream. Awsome effort :D

Quick one about the raceline mags. How strong are the inner beads as i've been looking at these as an alternative to Walker Evans.
Personally i'd go for the alloy outer ring and i know i can weld a strengthening ring to the inner bead if needed but to not have to would be a deciding factor.

The tyres would be 37"krawlers doing the long course events like cliffhanger etc.

cheers smitty

Today was qualifying for the race starting order. I didn't get any pictures of qualifying. I will get pictures and maybe some video of race day, depending on how busy I am in the pits tomorrow.
Here are a few pictures of the tech area at the Reno Stampede.

Ben started 43rd and finished 3rd I will try and get more pictures and video up.

He started 43rd and physically finished 6th or 7th. But with the adjusted time, his time was 3rd fastest.

In the 2nd vid Benny makes the other competitors look very second rate.

Awesome work Ben & crew.
