GQ Cab Chassis fuel tank

Hey guys,

Just wondering i am wanting to remove the tow bar on my ute and need to know what anyone has done to raise the tank or change it to stop it from being hit as it will be the next thing if i take the tow bar off any help would be great, the fuel tank is right at the back.

You can move the tank so it sits just behind the cab above the rear drive shaft. Are you planning on chopping the chassis back?

You can move the tank mounts from under the chassis to above the chassis. Quite easy to do just done my GU and a mates GQ. Cut the front mounts off and flip them and them make some new mounts at the back and remove towbar

i did the same thing to mine, flipped the front mounts and welded them back on and welded a peice of rhs along the rear chassis to suit hight, throw some bolts in and bobs ya aunty.
