I'm driving a 1994 XJ here in the US, and couldn't believe how easily the upper rear shock mount bolts snapped last week when i was replacing the shocks. I've seen some other US jeep lists that most have had similar problems, but I was wondering if the Australian models are doing the same thing.
It felt like they were maybe only grade 5 bolts. No rust on them at all either. Has anyone else experienced this??
Now that i'm driving with 1 rear shock, I gotta get out the EZ outs and try to fix it.... Then once that side is done, I get to break the bolts out of the other side.....

XJ Shock Mounts?
My tires were rubbing in the front, so I trimmed the hood, and now they're fine...
Well, I got it fixed. Bolts were well and truly not gunna come out, so i drilled new mounting holes at a "twist" angle from what they were, then drilled straight up thru the floor and bolted it all together....
