:) :) wasthinkingthesamewheniwasreadingthat. loved the fact it was in the ratio as well.

Every dyno reads different though. someone may have 130kw on 1 dyno and read 100kw on someone else's. You shouldnt worry to much about the numbers. Not sure on what else you want to achieve eg massive kw's or a good reliable tourer. My td42t bus was 110 kw on 36's with 4.1 and an air to air I/C but was by no stretch of the imagination a quik car but is reliable now with 12psi and water to air I/C with custom air intake/snorkel and a custom shortened sports exhaust (where it fell off after it was crushed on a rock). everyone likes something different but fast diesels cost big $$$.

ps i hate captal letters. ;)
only the first roll hurts, then its a ride..

ah right i would like somthing with a bit of poke but still reliable i have a pwr w2a cooler and the barrel is massive i was wondering should i just get rid of it and put a top mount cooler on it with a thermo or would the w2a be better and how much psi max would you put in it to still be relaible i would like around 120 but wondering if i will still have a reliable motor just after sum info before i start spending money cherz guys

Thats better. :finger:

120 what? Horsepower? Kw? My td42 factory turbo, non intercooled made 140rwhp on 35's and I think it would have been reliable enough, they are a pretty strong motor. Still a slug though! Get yourself a Boost and Pyro gauge to keep an eye on the critical components.

I dont know too much data about W2A coolers, let along PWR, but have heard plenty of opinions that they are good, so why change what you already have. I definitely wouldnt put an A2A cooler on top of your motor due to heat soak.

Re-reading your original post, the cooler and more boost will help with EGT's. What sort of turbo is on it? Factory turbos have an efficiency maximum of around 15psi

i am running around 15 psi but on the governor it reaches to 17 psi. i have a safari turbo but i wouldn't have a clue in wheel measurements but its not a massive one thou i dnt really wanna push any more boost into it cause i wanna try keep it reliable i have a pyro and temps are all good.what does heat soak mean is that when your on the spot and heats up it gets hot.its just the w2a barrel is massive and just the complexity of it like alway bleeding the system on the cooler and that i thought would be easier to put a top mount. iv also got a massive front mount cooler and was wondering if i mount that on top with twin thermos would that work good thanks for the info cherz.and i would like to make 120 kw at wheels on 35s.

X2,

wind the boost up or wind the fuel down to get the EGTs down. Intercooler will help too.
